As a Registered Psychotherapist and Assaulted Women and Children’s Counsellor / Advocate, I offer my services to a diverse population which encompasses clients from 8 years of age to adult.
My formal education includes a diploma from George Brown College in 1998 as an Assaulted Women and Children’s Counsellor/Advocate, a Diploma from the Spiritual Psychotherapy program at Transformational Arts College in 2006 (with updates in 2014), and a Certificate in Contemplative End of Life Care at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in 2010. My education continues as I am currently pursuing training in Meditation and Mindfulness studies as well as training specific to LGBTQ clients.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario.
My therapeutic approach with clients comes from a holistic and mindfulness integrated perspective, while following psychodynamic and contemplative therapy. I also offer my clients the opportunity to explore themselves and access their own healing through art, meditation, guided imagery, journaling and talk therapy.
I work with individuals addressing the many challenges their lives offer, including relationship and family issues, the impact of domestic violence , grief, trauma and loss (including pet loss), depression and anxiety and LGBTQ specific issues including coming out, gender specific issues and transgendering.
